  back to the society
When you buy organically produced farm products, you support farming techniques that improve soil fertility without the use of petroleum-based synthetic fertilizers. You protect surface and groundwater from exposure to persistent, toxic pesticides. Organic farmers work with, not against, the balance found in a healthy eco-system: wildlife is encouraged by including forage crops in rotation and by retaining fence rows, wetlands and other natural areas where wildlife can thrive.

Save the earthworm
Earthworms are a gardener's best friends. They burrow through the soil, leaving behind pathways that help air, water, and plant roots make their way through the soil, as well as castings (earthworm poop) that enrich the soil. Earthworm castings contain compounds that can improve plants' resistance to disease, and studies have found many plants that perform significantly better in earthworm rich soil than in soil with relatively few earthworms. Earthworms can even rid the soil of certain types of contaminants.

Pesticides are one of the two biggest threats to earthworms today. Many common pesticides kill earthworms if allowed to drip onto the soil, some with mortality rates as high as 100%. Some chemical fertilizers and herbicides can also kill earthworms.

Save the butterflies & bees
It’s no surprise why people love butterflies.  While the death of a tiger or a lion attracts worldwide attention, small winged beauties like butterflies, which are an indispensable pollinator for vital agricultural crops, are becoming extinct unnoticed.  Supporting organic farms is a great way to save the butterflies & bees.  Organic farms are a great place for butterflies, bees and pollinators to forage for nectar without being exposed to toxic pesticides.
